TONY BENNETT
We are more than delighted Tony has agreed to remain in England for an extra week to give us extra opportunity to gain from his expertise.
Early booking is definitely advised for this Course.

Tony Bennett  –  Pattern Play
A Creative Journey
Mon Sept 11th to Fri Sept 15th
10.00am to 4.00pm
Fee:  £375.00  inc. VAT
Ref: TB617

My concept for this hands on week is really rather simple. We will take one single punchcard pattern ( to be supplied ) and see how many different variations we can create from this simple starting point.  Ideally I would like to aim for double figure fabric variations from the single card.
In addition I will design a number of more current style garments specifically for this Course and anticipate that by the end of the week each attendee will have at least commenced one of these pieces using your favourite fabric created from your own ‘pattern play’ collection.
Apart from stitch variations the use of different yarns can also offer you huge potentially endless knit fabric options.

Knitting Machine Engineering Course
Do you need a Knitting Machine Engineer in your area?

There appears to be a shortage of people able to repair Knitting Machines around the Country now which is making it increasingly difficult for Machine Knitters to have their machines repaired without the costly and risky job of packaging them to send with carriers.

Mark is prepared to organise Classes to train would be engineers.  This is NOT a Class to keep your machine in working order with general housekeeping.  Many years ago Mark attended Courses to gain his knowledge of the intricacies of Knitting Machines and their quirks…… He wishes to pass this knowledge on to would be engineers.

The Classes would be small to ensure in depth attention.  There would be punchcard mechanics for Silver Reed/Knitmaster and Brother separately as they differ internally so much.

The Electronic machines would be a more advanced Course.

There may be people around the Country who would like a small side-line business which they could either run from home or make home visits to repair machines.  It is most rewarding to return a machine clean and working when all previously seems lost to the Knitter.

We need to keep Machine Knitting alive and healthy.

Should you be interested please contact us to discuss the details with Mark.
