The Course is suitable for both Brother and Silver Reed machines, ALL gauges and skill levels. Pam will be demonstrating on a basic mid gauge machine. Give your Mid Gauge or Chunky an outing….

A sampler of stitches will be produced and on the second day these techniques will be used to produce a garment.  ( Machine optional but preferable )

Fee:  £400.00  inc. VAT                                         Ref: TB633

Over the course of the week we will examine a stitch which I believe is actually very much underutilised in our craft – SLIP – so for this creative week we will “Slip into Knit Style” by exploring some of the potential this stitch technique has to offer – looking at tension – colour – steam – drape – yarns – and a number of other options perhaps slightly outside the norm. The ultimate goal of the week is that you will each create a garment incorporating one [or more] of the slip stitch techniques – we will work together during the week to design and ultimately produce your own individual“ Slip in to Knit Style” piece. In addition I will design/create a number of new garments specifically for this week ideally to give you a  starting point for your own creativity.    Be creative  T

Knitting Machine Engineering Course

Do you need a Knitting Machine Engineer in your area?

There appears to be a shortage of people able to repair Knitting Machines around the Country now which is making it increasingly difficult for Machine Knitters to have their machines repaired without the costly and risky job of packaging them to send with carriers.

Mark is prepared to organise Classes to train would be engineers.  This is NOT a Class to keep your machine in working order with general housekeeping.  Many years ago Mark attended Courses to gain his knowledge of the intricacies of Knitting Machines and their quirks…… He wishes to pass this knowledge on to would be engineers.

The Classes would be small to ensure in depth attention.  There would be punchcard mechanics for Silver Reed/Knitmaster and Brother separately as they differ internally so much .

The Electronic machines would be a more advanced Course.

There may be people around the Country who would like a small side-line business which they could either run from home or make home visits to repair machines.  It is most rewarding to return a machine clean and working when all previously seems lost to the Knitter.

We need to keep Machine Knitting alive and healthy.

Should you be interested please contact us to discuss the details with Mark.
